This site will showcase some places we visit from time to time leaving the Gold Coast and driving into the Hinterland of NSW (Northern Rivers and Tweed Valley plus Mount Warning -The Cloud Gatherer – and the most beautiful and unique Scenic Rim at the QLD Border Range.

The Scenic Rim is a region that spans across both Queensland (QLD) and New South Wales (NSW) in Australia. It is situated along the borders of these two states.

Mount Warning and its surrounding area are indeed considered one of the most beautiful parts of the Scenic Rim region. Mount Warning, also known as Wollumbin, is an ancient volcanic plug located in New South Wales near the Queensland border. The climb to the summit of Mount Warning is a popular activity for visitors, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape at sunrise. The hike is relatively challenging, but the rewarding views make it worthwhile. At present this walk is closed!
