Nach etwa 18 Jahren an der Spitze des Hasso-Plattner-Instituts (HPI) in Potsdam wird Christoph Meinel am Freitag mit einem großen Symposium dort verabschiedet. Eigene Erfahrungen hat er besonders im Bereich digitaler Bildung gemacht – die vom HPI mit Unterstützung des Bundes entwickelte Schul-Cloud stieß nur in wenigen Ländern auf Gegenliebe. In den Ruhestand wird sich der 69-Jährige jedoch noch nicht verabschieden: Im Gegenteil: Meinel will nun eine neue, rein digitale Universität aufbauen.
